ME-250DX builds upon the legendary Sontec MEP-250 topology, refined with fully stepped controls for absolute recallability. With over 100 selectable frequency points and 0.5 dB gain increments, it delivers surgical accuracy while maintaining the spacious, natural musicality Sontec designs are known for.
All-Discrete High-Voltage Circuitry
Equipped with 12 high-performance discrete op-amps running at ±28V and powered by independent 56V linear supplies per channel, the ME-250DX achieves exceptional slew rate, massive headroom, and distortion below 0.001%. Resolution remains intact even at aggressive settings.
Integrated Mid/Side Processing
A premium analog M/S encoder/decoder is built directly into the unit, enabling precise mid and side equalization. Channels can be independently bypassed in both Left/Right and M/S modes for maximum mastering flexibility.
Mastering-Grade Stereo Matching
Each unit is hand-calibrated and stereo-matched to within less than 1% accuracy. When measured, both channels track nearly identically, ensuring reliable imaging and tonal balance for critical mastering work.
Effective, Musical Control
Five true parallel bands per channel, stepped Q settings, shelf options on high and low bands, and selectable ±5 dB or ±10 dB gain ranges allow both subtle shaping and bold tonal sculpting without sounding processed.
