Tubecore 500 is a genuine vari-mu compressor, using remote cut-off tube biasing to control dynamics in a smooth, inherently musical way. This topology delivers natural compression curves and rich harmonic movement that respond beautifully to program material.
High-Voltage Tube Operation Without Compromise
Unlike typical 500-series designs, Tubecore 500 powers all tubes at a true 250 V DC via an internal converter. This ensures proper tube behavior, headroom, and depth, preserving the character of classic vari-mu compressors.
Hand-Built Precision and Premium Components
Each unit is hand-assembled using carefully matched 1% metal-film resistors, Wima capacitors, and JJ tubes. Every Tubecore 500 is individually calibrated to deliver consistent performance and authentic analog tone.
Transformer-Balanced, Studio-Ready Design
IGS Custom audio transformers on input and output provide excellent isolation, stability, and sonic weight. Used as a mono tracking compressor or as a matched stereo pair, Tubecore 500 becomes a powerful mastering-grade tool.
