Stereo ‘Pultec Style’ Tube Equalizer

Rubber Bands is a stereo, Pultec-style passive equalizer designed for engineers who crave musical tone shaping with true analog depth. Built around a classic passive filter topology and paired with a bespoke two-stage tube amplifier known as the Organic Amp, it delivers weight, dimension, and unmistakable character. Precisely matched components ensure perfectly synchronized stereo operation, while transformer-balanced inputs and outputs preserve signal integrity. With its ability to simultaneously boost and cut similar frequencies, Rubber Bands excels at sculpting lows and highs in a way that feels natural, powerful, and effortlessly musical.

A Stereo Passive EQ with Classic Roots
Rubber Bands draws inspiration from the legendary EQP-1 Pultec design, bringing the unmistakable behavior of passive equalization into a modern, stereo format. Carefully selected components with 1% tolerance ensure precise channel matching and consistent stereo imaging.

Organic Amp Tube Amplification
Following the passive filter stage is the Organic Amp, a specially designed two-stage tube amplifier that restores gain while adding density, depth, and harmonic richness. This tube stage is central to the Rubber Bands sound, enhancing dimensionality without masking detail.

Musical Filter Interactions
The equalizer is divided into four sections: two dedicated to bass and two to treble. Frequencies are selected via stepped switches, while boost and cut controls remain continuous. The interaction between filters allows simultaneous boosting and cutting of similar frequencies, producing the signature Pultec-style curves engineers rely on.

Designed for Real-World Mixing
A relay-based bypass enables instant A/B comparison, making Rubber Bands intuitive during critical sessions. It shines on vocals, guitars, strings, and full mixes, adding authoritative low end and smooth, airy high frequencies.
