Stereo Vintage EQ & Compressor with CRUSH
Inspired by the legendary Motown EQs of the 1960s Detroit studios, the Drawmer MQ-2 is a stereo, seven-band proportional-Q equalizer that captures the musical curves and soulful character of classic analogue designs.

More than just an EQ, the MQ-2 also integrates an intuitive one-knob compressor and Drawmer’s renowned CRUSH harmonic circuit, delivering warmth, weight, and unmistakable analogue personality in a single, elegant unit.

Musical EQ with One-Knob Compression
This 100% analogue design features seven bell-shaped bands, each offering ±10 dB of boost or cut at carefully selected musical frequencies. The proportional-Q response ensures the bandwidth naturally adapts with gain, making tonal shaping feel effortless and organic.

The one-knob compressor is equally intuitive. Its programme-dependent behaviour automatically adjusts attack and release to suit the incoming signal, gently controlling dynamics while preserving openness and musicality. For added flexibility, the EQ and compressor order can be switched within the signal path to suit different workflows.

Clear metering for both compressor gain reduction and stereo output levels allows fast, confident setup and precise control.

CRUSH Harmonic Circuit
What truly sets the MQ-2 apart is the inclusion of Drawmer’s celebrated CRUSH circuit, first introduced on the 1971. Engage CRUSH and the MQ-2 evolves beyond equalisation and compression into a powerful harmonic saturation tool.

CRUSH adds rich overtones, subtle distortion, and that elusive analogue warmth that brings mixes to life. Low frequencies gain weight, midrange presence is enhanced, and high frequencies shimmer with smooth, controlled sparkle. The effect responds directly to EQ boost — the more you push, the more harmonic colour is introduced.
