The Drawmer FC1 brings the speed, punch, and musicality of FET compression into a compact 500 Series module. Inspired by the FET circuitry of Drawmer’s renowned 1970s range, it delivers responsive soft-knee feedback compression that adds impact, presence, and energy while maintaining precise dynamic control.
Complete Creative Control
The FC1 features a comprehensive control set rarely found in a 500 Series compressor, including Input, Output, Threshold, Ratio, Attack, Release, and Wet/Dry Mix controls. Precision 21-position detented knobs ensure repeatable settings, while PGM mode intelligently adjusts release behaviour to reduce pumping and produce smoother, more natural compression.
BIG, AIR & CRUSH
BIG mode relaxes the compressor’s response to low frequencies for tighter, more natural bass, while AIR preserves clarity and openness in the top end throughout compression. The integrated CRUSH saturation circuit introduces harmonic richness, analog warmth, and additional character, allowing the FC1 to move effortlessly from transparent control to bold, energetic coloration.
Designed for Professional Studios
Comprehensive VU metering displays gain reduction or selectable input/output levels, while hard-wire bypass ensures transparent signal comparison. Dedicated stereo linking enables adjacent FC1 modules to operate as perfectly matched stereo or multi-channel compressors, making the FC1 an outstanding choice for tracking, mixing, and bus compression.
